Chinese firm unveils world's fastest humanoid robot Bolt

Shanghai-based MirrorMe Technology unveils Bolt, a 175cm humanoid robot achieving 10 m/s running speed, claimed as the world's fastest, with roots in 2016 speed research.

### Chinese Robotics Firm Unveils Bolt, Claimed as World's Fastest Humanoid Runner

Shanghai-based MirrorMe Technology has introduced Bolt, a full-size humanoid robot that achieved a peak running speed of 10 meters per second in real-world tests. The company claims it is the first of its kind to reach this milestone.

Named after Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, the robot stands 175 cm tall and weighs 75 kg—dimensions that MirrorMe considers optimal for a humanoid design. By comparison, Xpeng's Iron robot measures 178 cm tall and weighs 70 kg.

While MirrorMe's efforts extend beyond speed records, the company aims to create robots with motion perception and athletic capabilities that match or surpass those of humans. Founded in May 2024, MirrorMe draws its core team from Zhejiang University. The firm's lineup includes the Baobao, Apollo, and Black Panther II models, with the last one designed for scientific research.

The team has focused on speed research since 2016 to push the boundaries of robotics. In a video released on December 25, 2025, Black Panther II demonstrated a top speed of 13.4 meters per second.
