### Exclusive: Lucid's Strategy SVP Resigns, Marking 13th Exec Exit Since Oct. 2023

Lucid Motors' senior vice president of Strategy and Business Development, Claudia Gast, has resigned from the electric vehicle maker, according to a person familiar with the matter. The departure marks the 13th exit of a C-level or vice president executive since October 2023 for the Saudi-backed company and is part of a broader leadership shakeup that has turned over nearly the entire executive team since late that year.

Gast is the second senior vice president to leave in the past three months. Eric Bach, senior vice president of Product and chief engineer, departed in early November. A person close to the matter later said Bach had been ousted—a claim the executive confirmed in a subsequent lawsuit against Lucid.

According to the company's website, Gast was responsible for building Lucid's mid- and long-term strategic direction, developing new business models, and cultivating partnerships in the automotive and technology sectors. She joined in December 2022 as vice president and head of Strategy and Business Development, then was promoted to senior vice president in March 2025. Her LinkedIn profile indicates she led the company's OKRs and worked with leadership to set objectives and key results aimed at long-term profitability and scale.

Gast holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Her resignation comes less than a year before Lucid plans to start production of its third model, a midsize SUV on a new platform that will support three vehicles, including an off-road variant. Gast did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
