Leapmotor has unveiled its pioneering overseas innovation center in Munich, Germany, focused on advancing design iterations and conceptual development for upcoming electric vehicle models. Located in the vibrant Schwabing-Freimann district of northern Munich, the facility marks a shift for the Chinese EV manufacturer from exporting products to exporting innovative design principles. It integrates into Leapmotor's expanding global design framework, which now spans key locations in Munich, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, with the goal of infusing international design elements into its vehicle aesthetics. This move aligns with Leapmotor's intensified push into international markets. Backed by Stellantis, the company saw exports rise to 67,052 units in 2025, claiming the top spot among emerging Chinese EV brands. By the end of February 2026, cumulative exports had surpassed 100,000 units, positioning Leapmotor among the leading three Chinese pure EV sellers in Europe.
Advancing European Manufacturing Presence
In Spain, Leapmotor has launched its CKD assembly project to strengthen its European footprint. The initiative will introduce the B10 and B05 models to capture greater market share. Production of the B10 has entered the OTS phase, with the initial test vehicle completed and full commercial output scheduled for October 2026. The B05 is slated for trial production starting in June 2026, followed by official manufacturing in 2027 to meet rising demand across the continent.
Strong Financial Results and Future Ambitions
Leapmotor achieved a milestone with its first full-year profit of 540 million yuan ($78.4 million) in 2025, as revenue surged 101.3% to 64.73 billion yuan. Vehicle deliveries reached 596,555 units that year, up 103.1% from 2024. Looking ahead, the company aims for more than 1 million deliveries in 2026. Its latest offering, the A10 (known as B03X abroad), launches in China on March 26 and will reach nearly 40 countries worldwide.
