Leapmotor founder Zhu Jiangming expressed strong confidence in achieving 1 million annual vehicle deliveries this year, highlighting March's impressive sales of 50,029 units that propelled first-quarter totals to 110,155 units—a 25.82% increase from the previous year. Robust orders for the A10 and D19 models are enhancing availability for buyers.
The A10 model shifted to double-shift production in late April, elevating daily capacity beyond 1,000 units. Monthly output targets are set above 26,000 units for May and 30,000 to 36,000 units for June, paving the way for substantial summer volumes aimed at European customers. Meanwhile, D19 transaction prices are clustering above 250,000 yuan ($36,620), appealing to premium buyers.
Leapmotor introduced the Lafa 5 Ultra hatchback at the Beijing Auto Show, with prices ranging from 118,800 to 124,800 yuan. Measuring 4,490 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height on a 2,735 mm wheelbase, it features a 180 kW motor that accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, offering ranges of 500 km or 600 km.
Overseas sales now represent over 36% of total volume, with ambitions to reach 60%, prioritizing Europe through demand in Germany and the UK. CKD assembly in Spain is slated to begin in Q4 2026, bolstering local manufacturing and logistics while alleviating domestic supply pressures.
Mid-year introductions of the A05 and D99 models are expected to account for about 60% of full-year sales, broadening options from budget to premium segments. Executives are monitoring user satisfaction on a monthly basis to maintain service quality amid rapid growth.
