Lotus Technology, primarily owned by Geely Holding, introduced its debut plug-in hybrid SUV, the For Me, in China on Sunday. This launch provides more choices for upscale consumers looking for powerful hybrids that offer family-oriented practicality. The base Standard version starts at 508,000 yuan (approximately $73,500), with the SE model at 558,000 yuan. Deliveries commence on Monday, March 30, allowing swift access to a flexible vehicle that merges electric efficiency with dynamic driving excitement.

The For Me is built on Lotus's international super hybrid platform using a 900-volt system. It integrates a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors, delivering up to 939 horsepower. This powertrain achieves 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and even with only 10% battery remaining, it reaches that mark in 3.5 seconds. Such capabilities make it suitable for everyday commutes or enthusiastic drives without any sacrifices.

A 70-kWh battery from CATL enables up to 420 kilometers of pure electric driving under CLTC standards, China's testing method that tends to be more favorable than worldwide equivalents. This feature is great for city travel with reduced fuel dependency. The 6C ultra-fast charging system replenishes from 30% to 80% in eight minutes, accommodating demanding routines. With a full tank and charge, the overall range surpasses 1,416 kilometers, ideal for lengthy family adventures with infrequent stops.

It includes a standard Nvidia Thor chip and integrated LiDAR for advanced driver-assistance features that enhance safety and simplify driving. Marketed as the Eletre X abroad, the For Me is designed for families desiring top-tier performance without compromises. At a starting price of 508,000 yuan, it seeks to rival Porsche's plug-in hybrids in acceleration and value.
