### Xiaomi's Racing Ambitions Accelerate with Leaked Vision GT Concept
Spy photos of a high-performance concept car from Xiaomi have surfaced in Spain, just ahead of the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Shared by Chinese automotive media outlet Auto Home, the images reveal an aggressively aerodynamic design featuring a low-slung, wide body, massive carbon-fiber spoiler, and prominent side skirts. The wheels prominently display "Xiaomi" branding.
The vehicle marks Xiaomi's first Vision Gran Turismo (VGT) concept, created in partnership with Sony PlayStation's Gran Turismo racing simulation game. It is slated for an official debut at MWC, scheduled for March 2-5 at the Fira Gran Via exhibition center.
This project expands on Xiaomi's deepening connections to the virtual racing scene. In June 2025, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun revealed that the company's flagship SU7 Ultra would join Gran Turismo 7 as the first Chinese vehicle in the series. That same month, Xiaomi registered copyrights for "Xiaomi Vision GT," paving the way for this unveiling.
The Vision Gran Turismo program enables automakers to push creative boundaries with designs unconstrained by real-world engineering, cost, or regulatory hurdles. Xiaomi's concept aims to captivate millions of young gamers while showcasing China's advances in electric vehicles and extreme performance on the international stage.
