Xpeng Enters Mexico with G6 and G9 SUVs
Xpeng has officially launched in Mexico, introducing its G6 and G9 SUVs as part of a broader push into Latin America. The Chinese EV maker marked the entry on Thursday, establishing a foothold in the region with these mid-to-high-end models. The G6 comes in three variants priced from 819,900 pesos ($45,734) to 919,900 pesos, while the G9 offers two variants ranging from 1,099,900 pesos to 1,259,900 pesos.
To support operations, Xpeng is partnering with three local dealers in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The first authorized stores will open on April 6. The company has also set up a 1,000-square-meter spare parts warehouse and implemented a smart logistics system.
Latin America Expansion Strategy
Xpeng views 2026 as a breakthrough year for Latin America, targeting core markets like Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. In 2027, it plans comprehensive expansion, rolling out a lineup of pure electric and extended-range vehicles while strengthening presence in Chile and Argentina. The goal is full regional coverage by 2028, positioning Xpeng as a leader in smart mobility.
