Zeekr 8X Ultra Plus, an SUV with 885 hp hybrid, entering Europe late 2026

The Zeekr 8X lineup starts at 329,800 yuan (about 41,000€), offering better value than the BMW X5 PHEV while sharing its 900V architecture. The Ultra Plus test model retails for 399,800 yuan (50,000 €), with European exports slated for late 2026.

At 5100 mm long with a 3069 mm wheelbase, the 8X Ultra Plus has an extended front overhang to house its 2.0T engine. Air suspension boosts ground clearance by up to 5 cm for off-road capability and drops the body 3 cm at highway speeds. A 2200 W external power outlet caters to camping setups.

The SEA-S platform integrates a 205 kW 2.0T engine with dual motors, delivering 660 kW (885 hp) total. Its 70 kWh battery enables 6C fast charging from 20-80% in 9 minutes and up to 410 km CLTC pure-electric range. It sprints to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.

Double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, equipped with dual-chamber air springs and adaptive dampers, provide refined handling. Sport mode tightens damping for sharper body control, while active anti-roll bars minimize cornering lean. Steering is precise without rear-axle assistance.

Highway tire roar from 275-section 22-inch wheels is noticeable, though the rear suspension absorbs sharp impacts better than the front. A roof-mounted lidar, combined with cameras and radar, ensures smooth highway lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control.
